One of the key figures behind our Education Program is Priscilla Nguyen, our Education Supervisor. Her journey in the nail industry is as inspiring as it is impressive, and today, we’re excited to share her story and insights with you. Whether you’re a seasoned nail tech looking to expand your skills or just starting out, Priscilla’s experiences offer valuable lessons for anyone passionate about nail artistry and education. 

From Nail Tech to Education Supervisor 

Priscilla’s path to becoming the Education Supervisor at Aprés Nail wasn’t exactly planned—but sometimes the best opportunities come when you least expect them. "This all started as a happy accident," she explains. "I was working full-time at a salon when I decided to send in a resume to Aprés just for fun since I met all the qualifications. To my surprise, I landed the job as Education Coordinator." 

From there, Priscilla quickly found herself traveling across the country, working tradeshows and providing demos at beauty schools. "At that time, Aprés had launched a new partnership program for nail schools to affiliate with the brand and Gel-X®," she says. "I signed up 13 schools for the program, and at the same time, I began teaching Gel-X® Certification classes. In just one year, I taught nearly 10 classes across the country." 

Her passion and dedication didn’t go unnoticed. A year and a half later, Priscilla was promoted to Education Supervisor, and this year marks her three-year anniversary with the Aprés team. 

Priscilla’s Favorite Aprés Products for 2025 

When it comes to Aprés products, Priscilla has a few favorites—but one stands out above the rest for this year. "The new Extend Gel Sensitive has been an all-time favorite of mine," she says. "The all-in-one formula, on top of no heat spikes and easy removal, is a game changer. It’s my Aprés MVP for 2025." 

Her favorite product to teach, however, is the Gel-X® system—a product that has become synonymous with Aprés. "The signature Gel-X® system and application is my favorite thing to teach as an educator because having a strong foundation is key to any basic set," Priscilla shares. "Gel-X® is the product that most people think of when they think of Aprés. It’s a fulfilling feeling to see students gain confidence during their Gel-X® application with a few words of encouragement." 

Celebrating Success, One Student at a Time 

Priscilla’s favorite part of her job is seeing the real impact she has on her students. "The most rewarding experience I’ve had as an educator is when I hear someone tell me that they learned something they didn’t know before," she reflects. "Or when they say their Gel-X® retention lasts longer after seeing my demo, or that Gel-X® has helped them make more money than they were previously making." 

Priscilla’s goal is simple: to provide knowledge that helps nail techs grow and thrive in an industry that can sometimes feel cutthroat. "These are all satisfying things to hear because my ultimate goal is to provide knowledge that makes nail techs’ lives easier and benefits them in this industry." 

Advice for New Nail Techs 

Priscilla has invaluable insight for those just starting out in the industry.  "It’s okay to work slower than others. I believe in quality over quantity," she advises. "Don’t rush yourself, and don’t rush perfection. There will be clients who appreciate the meticulous work and come back specifically to you because they know you care about the work done. Returning clients are more valuable than quick turnovers." 

The Future of Aprés Education 

When it comes to the future of Aprés Nail’s Education Program, Priscilla sees endless possibilities. "There is always a need for education, whether it’s for new nail techs or new product launches," she says. "So there is always room for growth. Aprés is focused on expanding education to provide support for everyone in the industry and to build community." 

Aprés is proud to have certified educators nationwide—trained to meet educational requests in their communities. "That in itself is a never-ending growing component," Priscilla adds.
