This is a great lamp and I use it daily. Every Apres or Presto gel I own cures perfectly in it. It does not cure certain brands of Japanese or Korean gel and I had to buy a different lamp for those gels.
I also have a Beta lamp that I used for pedicures but it stopped working after very little use. I can’t fully recommend the Alpha lamp for this reason. I do like the built in omega light.
I love that the Alpha light is cordless and has multiple time settings. I just recently used the omega light while curing a set of gel-x nails and it worked great.
I cure apres gel polish for 45 seconds with no problems.
The machine is so pretty, beautiful design. Love the finger placement, the little flash cure lamp attached is so useful,etc. The machine overall is good and powerful, haven’t had issues with curing the gel. Im giving 4/5 start because the battery life sucks. I feel like it needs to be always plugged in. Is cordless but you get to do 1-2 sets per charge. Battery 🪫 doesn’t hold as much power.
The lamp is beautiful, finger placements are nice touch. I charged it 24 hours before first use. The battery life is fine, but it does not cure well. I’m a professional nail artist and I have a VBP lamp and it works beautifully, I know what I’m doing. I’ve tried curing even Apres polishes and with very thin coats the lamp still struggles. Apres polishes say to cure for 30 seconds. That doesn’t work. You’ll need 1 minute with this lamp, MINIMUM, which is unfortunate because there is no 60 second timer. So you’ll have to pay attention and catch it quick to reset for another 30 seconds or your polish will start to bubble. I use only high quality polishes, and they cure perfectly in my other brand lamp. I’m disappointed with this purchase. I wish there was a return policy.
